Omega Protocol

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you make it to the point where you can start making choices, DO NOT choose the first option until it's your only choice remaining, otherwise you won't be able to progress later in the game. Sorry.

A 2D platformer inspired by classic NES gameplay. While out on a mission saving the world from one of his many rivals, Omega's AI-security bot Zeta commandeered his own headquarters! Can you blast your way back in and stop Zeta before it's able to spread its malfunctioning code across the world?!

GAMEPAD CONTROLS:  X (west button) shoots, A (south button) jumps, and Right Trigger dashes. Hold down shoot to charge your blaster!

KEYBOARD CONTROLS: WASD/Arrow keys to move, F,J, and LMB to shoot, Shift or L to Dash. Hold down shoot to charge your blaster.

RECOMMENDED: Play with Gamepad for the optimal experience!

MVM THEMES:

Metroidon't - You start at the top of your game. You have all your abilities and have access to the full map / teleporters. As you progress, you'll have to give up your abilities making previously taken routes more difficult or even impossible. Choose the order in which you sacrifice your abilities wisely!

Powering Down - Not only are you  powering down your own character as you progress, you're also powering down the rogue AI who's taken over your base. As you find and disable power generators, the teleporters attached to them become disabled one by one.

20XX - I like to think the inspiration is pretty self-evident, but yeah. Gameplay and enemy design is heavily inspired by Mega Man!
